You can ring for advice, but your issue must be in writing. Click here to go to the QLS' complaints process and to use the QLS complaints form.

(2) Legal Ombudsman

If you have complained to the Law Society, and if you are not satisfied with the result, you may write to contact the Legal Ombudsman. The Legal Ombudsman is an independent person appointed by the Queensland Attorney-General to monitor and investigate complaints to the Law Society against solicitors. The Ombudsman will review the file on your issue and if necessary re-open it. The Ombudsman cannot investigate an issue that has not been investigated by the Law Society.
